We're Overdueing It, but you're doing just fine!

After four years of successful podcasting, Dave Bartos, Tayla Cardillo, Emily Goodman, and Lauren Walker, the creative minds behind Down Time with Cranston Public Library and Rhody Radio, have joined forces to launch this new statewide library podcast project.

Each episode of Overdueing It features conversations with folks from around the Ocean State and beyond as they dive into what they're reading, watching, and loving. You’ll learn about the amazing work being done at Rhode Island libraries, hear from authors you love and authors you need to read, and meet neighborhood superstars sharing their interests and passions. New episodes of Overdueing It are released every other Tuesday at noon wherever you get your podcasts!

For information on becoming a listening editor, contact Lauren at lwalker@coventrylibrary.org.

Tayla is the Branch Librarian of the Oak Lawn Branch of the Cranston Public Library. She began podcasting as host of Down Time with Cranston Public Library in April 2020, as a way to connect with patrons while library buildings were closed. She is thrilled to bring her hosting/interview skills to this statewide podcast project. She has a passion for serving youth and defending their right to read, especially their access to comics. She is the chair of the Rhode Island Library Associations Intellectual Freedom Committee and a Features Writer for graphic novel review site No Flying No Tights. When not doing library magic, she enjoys playing tabletop games, doing yoga, and reading graphic memoirs.
